Our client, one of the leading banks in Ireland, is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Automation Engineer to work in Ireland.

What you are expected to have:
Required
- BS in Engineering Level 8 Honours Degree
- A minimum of 3 years of automation engineering/systems experience
Preferred
- Strong understanding of automated control systems such as Allen Bradley & Siemens, robotics, and industrial automation. Proven experience with automation tools (e.g., PLC, SCADA, HMI).
- Demonstrable ability to lead significant projects and initiatives
- To be a Technological expert, willing to source, investigate and implement technological and automation advances, Capable of technically leading a multi-disciplined team.
- To be a confident and effective decision maker, with a proven technical leadership ability to negotiate and influence others.
- Experience in Automated Packaging, Blasting, Linishing, Polishing, Deburring & Masking desirable.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and prioritize initiatives.
- Develop technical solutions to complex technical problems where analysis of situations requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Design and implementation of automation strategies across projects.
- Design, development, testing & refinement of automated system, sub-system & component.
- Support code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards. Develop and maintain automation frameworks and tools to streamline processes.
- Develop documentation for automated systems to allow for standardisation, e.g. Dynamic URS, simplified change control for automated systems, and Automation systems specifications which meet the requirements of the different standards.
- Oversee automation projects from conception to execution, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
