Oracle PL/SQL Developer – Dublin

The Client:

Our client, one of the leading insurance companies in Ireland, is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer to work in Dublin, Ireland.

What you are expected to have:

  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant IT application development experience.
  • PLSQL – Oracle PL-SQL, Unix
  • JAVA – Java, Spring, Maven, Weblogic, Powershell
  • CLOAS – Business logic, Batch, Browser
  • Experience working within Agile values (e.g., taking ownership of tasks, self-organised, self-driven, collaborating with team members, etc.).
  • Any experience with document generation software like Doc1 & Inspire would be advantageous.
  • Experience with scanning software, workflows, routing and large index metadata would be advantageous
  • Competent knowledge of Scrum ceremonies.
  • Competent skills and knowledge in database structures and concepts.
  • Ability to analyse, prepare, execute and test coding changes.
  • Multi-skilled and capable of working in many different parts of the SDLC at the same time

What you will do:

  • Analyse, develop, test and implement components of software for business products based on project plans to the appropriate quality.
  • Working within an Agile Scrum delivery methodology as part of a wider team.
  • Ownership of the development, testing and implementation of software components.
  • Understand and help challenge and define the functional and non-functional requirements in order to prepare technical specifications to support development for yourself and others.
  • Work directly with the business to analyse, refine requirements and diagnose issues.
  • Assist in the testing and troubleshooting of the overall solution, inclusive of identification and remediation of system bugs.
  • Follow all elements of the SDLC while adhering to standards and enhancing/suggesting improvements.
  • Assist the team to ensure developments are delivered to schedule and within budget.
