Senior Data Modeller – Dublin

The Client:

Our client, a leading banks in Ireland, is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Modeller to work in Dublin, Ireland.

What Youโ€™ll Love:

  • This role is part of a long-term strategic project within the Bank, so this is an opportunity to work for the top bank in the country on a Permanent / Rolling Contract basis.
  • The role offers a Competitive Day Rate and Hybrid working option is available.

What you are expected to have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of proven business, logical and physical data modelling experience for a large complex enterprise, both development and maintenance, with a pragmatic balance between business need and modelling approach.
  • Extract accurate user requirements and be able to relate those to already available model content or prototype required extensions to existing
  • Communicate developed model content to business users.
  • Creatively solve problems with innovative solutions, where sometimes a `template` or process does not exist.
  • Leadership skills and proven ability to develop a pipeline of talent.
  • Agile delivery mind-set and experience of working in an agile organisation.
Desirable Experience
    • Experience of Banking Industry Data Models, in particular Teradata FSLDM, will be an advantage.
    • Experience with both normalised (Inmon) and denormalised (Kimball) approaches.
    • Expertise in Erwin data modelling tool โ€“ Preferably Erwin; also experience of Jira & Confluence.
    • Experience of data integration and/or migration will be an advantage.
    • Independent and decisive with willingness to challenge, and tenacity and resilience to ensure divisional accountabilities within a Group model and approach.

What you will do:

  • You will be responsible for development of key Bank data models via interaction with major change and/or regulatory programs e.g. BCBS, SRB
  • Support the development of robust processes, standards and documentation for Data Modelling
  • Working as part of the Group Data Modelling team you will help enhance internal modelling capability more broadly across the Group and also build and develop the Data Modelling Team
  • Be heavily involved in transforming the Bankโ€™s reporting and data analytics processes and capabilities through the development of standardised and integrated data stores
  • Working as part of a wider design capability, you will be involved in understanding project requirements and how these will impact the bank data model, working as part of an agile delivery squad
